Super Bowl Snack

This is an easy to make super bowl snack that everyone loves! Sweet & Heat Pretzels go great with a beer and the big game!

I was first introduced to these pretzels at 612Brew in NE Minneapolis. That area is home to many breweries and micro brews. They all offer something different and have their own unique vibe. 612Brew is easily one of my favorites in that area. It has a laid back, family friendly vibe and a great outdoor space. Plenty of room to relax, try a flight of their unique seasonal beers and play some cribbage. You can bring in your own food or order from a food truck parked conveniently just outside. They also have some small snacks available for purchase inside. One of the tasty treats you can grab are the Sweet N Heat Pretzels. These snaps shaped pretzels are slightly salty, slightly sweet with a nice kick of heat at the end!

I highly recommend checking out 612Brew and picking up a bag or two to go with your growler of their newest IPA. If you can't make it there before the big game on Sunday, I'll show you how to make your own. Pretzels, that is. Please don't make your friends drink your homemade beer! We leave that to the professionals!

You will need:

1 Bag of square snaps pretzels

1 Stick of butter

1/3 Cup of brown sugar

Cayenne Pepper to taste

Directions:

Soften a stick of butter. Do not fully melt. Mix in the brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on each pretzel and lay them flat on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Bake at 350° for 5 minutes or until butter has melted and starts to bubble. Allow them to fully cool before breaking them apart and serving.

Enjoy!
